Elementary Teacher
Unique public charter school with a progressive Montessori curriculum seeks
a credentialed teacher to teach the Primary class.

Who are we?
Mountain View Montessori Charter School is a public charter school serving grades K-6. The curriculum utilizes a progressive Montessori curriculum in conjunction with the California State Standards to serve 80 children in a four mixed-age classrooms. The charter is established in cooperation with the Victor Elementary School District in Victorville, CA The school operates on a traditional schedule.

Who are you?
An experienced elementary teacher with a progressive educational philosophy consistent with the Montessori curriculum and methodology.

A collaborative colleague able to teach the Elementary class and to take part as a member of the teaching team to develop curriculum units and refine teaching strategies and approaches on an ongoing basis.

A professional with the proven ability to participate as a member of the school's operational team, to communicate effectively and sensitively with parents, and to establish environment conductive to learning.

Requirements:
California Elementary Teaching Credential and proof of successful completion of CBEST
Montessori teacher training or a willingness to participate in training, summer of '05
Elementary teaching experience
Proven philosophy consistent with Montessori educational approach
Knowledge of the California State Standards
Professional demeanor and communication skills

Salary and Benefits:
$ 38,000 - $ 42,000 base salary DOE, plus 15% medical benefits stipend, and STRS
