LOCATION: MVMCS is located on the southwest corner of the Liberty School campus in Victorville, California, approximately 5 miles from the Bear Valley Road exit of Interstate 15. Mountain View Montessori is named for the close proximity of the San Gabriel and San Bernardino mountain ranges, whose ski resorts, lakes, and hiking trails are within an hour’s drive. Ontario International Airport is 40 minutes away, and the beaches of Los Angeles County are within a 2 hour drive. Our community includes Victor Valley Community College, boasting a planetarium and performing arts center. Mojave Narrows Regional Park offers nature trails, boating, horseback riding, and an annual hot-air balloon festival. Victorville is host to 4 museums, a branch of the San Bernardino County Library, and 11 activities and senior centers. Nearby is the Glen Helen Pavilion, a state of the art concert facility, and the Mount Wilson Observatory. At an altitude of 2800 feet, our high desert biome features big blue skies, wide open spaces, and a spectacular concentration of Joshua trees. Spring and fall temperatures in the Mojave are moderate, and winter is chilly, with occasional light snow. Summertime often sees temperatures above 100F. Air quality is good, and the views of surrounding mountain ranges are gorgeous.
